National and International Affilation
WECS has gained a very high profile and recognition since it has been designated as focal point for research and pilot activities by ESCAP, WEC, ICID, WCD and ICOLD. WECS has been actively participating in the following organizations:

Member of World Energy Council and act as a secretariat of the WEC-Nepal National Committee

Member of International Commissions on Large Dams (ICOLD) and act as a secretariat of the ICOLD-Nepal National Committee

Focal Point of BIMSTEC for Enegy sector
Previously WECS was the national focal point of Regional Wood Energy Development Program (RWEDP), FAO till its existence.
